I dated a covert narcissist for a year and a half. I left multiple times and got sucked back in multiple times. I donāt want to go into it since the full story is in my post history anyway. Just typical narc stuff: gaslighting, cheating, promising to change and then acting victim when theyāre called out for not changing.
Anyway the discard involved a passive aggressive breakup on her end ie she couldnāt just say she didnāt want to date me, she had to try and make herself sound like a good person despite the fact that she broke up with me because she was my abuser (her own words). Stating that āthereās no hard feelings on her end but understands if Iām upset,ā which implies we have equivalent reasons to be upset.
I called her out through a long text later that day, she blocked me on everything. Started seeing someone else and we never spoke again. This was 3 months ago.
I moved on NC until about a couple weeks, we matched on tinder. So I broke NC like an idiot and sarcastically asked if it meant I was allowed to talk to her again. She then went on with the conversation as if nothing happened so I kinda stopped replying.
This past Sunday she tries texting me about a show we started watching when we were together. I ignored it all together.
My question is what is the goal? I thought narcissists moved on after you make it clear that you see through their behaviors? Especially coverts because they know how much they hurt you.
Obviously I know not to text because Iāll lose whatever game she wants to play but what the fuck how can these people mistreat you then talk to you like nothing fucking happened.
