I’m leaving this sub...because I’m in such a good place now. Life gets amazingly better.
Post Body

At this time 2 years ago I was in an extremely toxic relationship with a narcissist. It was straight up mental and emotional abuse for years. Cheating, lying, silent treatment over little things, etc. As bad as the relationship was, the breakup was even worse. At this time 1 year ago I was stuck living with my ex, still subject to constant disrespect and gaslighting. After he moved out, we went complete NC and haven’t exchanged a single message since. Since then... I moved to a new apartment to rid myself of the bad memories (and I love the place so much more than our old house), I got a new job with a bigger company and have gotten a significant raise and promotion since (along with being able to work from home now), and most of all, I met an amazing man who I really believe could be the love of my life, the one I’ve been waiting for. He is just incredible and treats me in a way I didn’t even understand was possible, because I was conditioned into accepting such poor treatment for so long. I’m seriously so happy. I just wanted to post this because this subreddit is one of the things that got me through that dark time in my life, so thank you everyone, but I don’t need it anymore. Anyone who is struggling right now, please know that life gets better. It may take some time - but once you get away from the narcissist in your life, your entire life can and will change for the better. 😊❤️
