I’m a bit conflicted about what I should do. Im pursuing my bachelors degree in social work and currently work four days a week at my barista job and 3 days at my internship, 8 hour days. I have no time to myself and feel exhausted a lot of the time - struggling to stay on top of basic chores and maintaining relationships. I’m feeling compelled to develop my career and want to ask to only work two days a week as that’s all I need for my expenses. I’ve tried to ask for days off before and was pressured/guilt tripped to not take them as they’re severely understaffed and manager is overworked. I still feel guilty about advocating for myself… but I’m feeling passionate about developing my career, putting myself out there and gaining new experiences. And support or insight is appreciated, thank you.
