Confusion and sad 😞

I don’t know what to think 🤔 I appreciate that I am here… but I keep running into people that asks me about my origins. when I mention where I am from I get treat as charity case. “ lucky you” they say! “ thank god u made it out there” “u should be glad to have me as friend” which get followed ignorant and demeaning comments. Just cause I wasn’t born here doesn’t mean that I grew up under rock, matter fact I had a more privileged, loving, life than most of these people, as we all know life leads us to different places. Just because you live here doesn’t mean that u are better than the rest of the planet. I love being Canadian but I also love where I came from!!
