I have a budget of around $5-6k. I have to start college in the fall. But my parents are completely and utterly useless. They won’t help me do anything. I have older brothers with vehicles but they’re far too busy to help sit down with me and purchase a car. So just please give me some advice. What are the best places to look for used cars near me? I’m probably gonna buy an older reliable model. That can get me from work and school and then back to my roommates house. So I won’t be driving far everyday. I really need this car or else my parents will berate me for my incompetence and make me use a car they’ll purchase in my name to force me stay in their toxic home. If you can suggest anything it all helps! Like setting up insurance and what to look for to be safe from tricks when buying a car.
TLDR: I need advice on how to buy a used car.
