Hey fellow enthusiasts-
Took delivery of my LX 600 a month ago; love it. Handles waaaaay differently than last gen and is honestly the most nimble SUV I’ve ever driven… it’s kinda wild how agile it feels for a small bus.
My grievance is as follows: somehow the QI pad got scratched I guess and now it’s delaminating!
The bit on top that got rubbed away is like a non slip silicone, and the part under is smooth like a tabletop. Obviously this sucks for many reasons including, but not limited to: the inevitable further degradation of the surface- once it’s all gone it’ll slip around, and it’s such an eyesore in an otherwise impeccable cabin.
Has anyone ever reached out to Lexus proper about something similar to this? I get the sense that this repair is out of the dealership’s ability to repair. Maybe I’m underestimating the local team?
