Good Afternoon.
I got my grandpas model94 out and found its from 1949. I am going to take it deer hunting this year and I was wondering if there is any maintance checks I should do on it before taking I to the range. I shot a couple of rounds through it 5 or so years ago and prior to that I bet it was 40-50 years since it was last shot. It’s always been stored well oiled and is in amazing shape.
Just not sure if any parts should be greased vs oil and any function checks I should do. Also anything post shooting for cleaning I should be
