Lately I've been exploring this idea of music (at a fundamental level) being about artistic vision. In that, I feel like part of the reason why we listen to music is because of the identity that musicians create in their music, and that we want to be a part of that identity in some way.
Naturally, a lot of this seems to enter into fantasy, because let's face it, escaping is fun.
Personally for me, I really like an artist named Kyunchi. Basically, their music is basically about being the ultimate beauty guru influencer, along with living a lifestyle of complete materialistic consumption.
Which musicians have an artistic vision for the world which you enjoy/relate to, and how would you describe it?
Of course, it doesn't have to be rational. Personally speaking, I'm fairly minimalist, but I love the idea of excess consumption at a metaphysical level.
Another prominent example is probably rap music, specially bragging about wealth, cars etc. I imagine a lot of people love that vision, specifically if they could be in that position.
