[PSA] As a reminder, advertising a group, chatroom, website, or anything of that sort, might end you up with a ban.

So a lot of people recently thought it was okay to advertise their kik group, whatsapp group, discord server, website, etc on this subreddit. Despite the fact that we have a rule staying explicitly that it is not allowed, of course.

So to be clear, just so there's no miscommunication, advertising your group / chat on this subreddit can and will end you up with a ban.

A few were lucky to dodge ban, but multiple got 60 day or permanent bans tonight for breaking that rule. In fact, they also got banned in the KikGroups subreddit for their abuse.

So safe yourself a little trouble and don't try it, because when it's caught (and I've found recent posts and posts as old as a year) it'll be removed and you'll enjoy a nice, warm and cozy ban.
