As the title says, I have an abundance of free time. Unfortunately, my temporal surplus is due to a disability I've recently developed. I can't get out and do things like I used to, I can't work, and I spend most days trying to occupy my mind in the interest of maintaining my sanity. As a result, I'll admit, I've been a bit down as of late. I'll try really hard not to be a drag, I promise. 😊. It would be nice to have someone to talk to; my dog and cats are terrible conversationalists.
I'm a pretty laid back and easygoing guy. I'm divorced and I have a teenager, just so you know my situation. I live in the US (west coast). I worked in Healthcare before I was disabled. My interests are varied, I'm a big foodie and love to cook. I'm into camping, fishing, and hiking pretty much anything outdoors (that's what makes this so hard). I like going to festivals (especially if there's food involved). I like going to the theater and comedy shows. I'm a bit of a film buff and I love historical dramas. I'm into all the nerdy things- gaming, sci-fi, D&D, etc. I don't follow sports so I wouldn't have much to say about that.
I'm open to talking to anyone over 18. We don't have to have the same interests. I love gaining knowledge and would enjoy learning about the things you like. I'm open-minded and don't care if we have differing views and values, as long as there's mutual respect and civility. We don't have to agree on everything, and I welcome civil discourse; civil being the operative word. Our communication can evolve with our comfort levels, starting with dms on here. We don't have to chat every day, but it would be nice to have someone to share the events of my life with and vice versa. Well, I've given you enough to read for now. If this sounds like something you'd like to get into, get in touch.
