Elayne Trakand, Daughter Heir of the Andor, stood on a balcony overlooking her city. Caemlyn was buzzing with anticipation and fear; the armies of The Dark One were assembling outside its gates and her people were preparing for the assault. Along the ramparts in the distance she could see soldiers standing at the ready, in the streets were others called up to service bringing supplies to different corners of the city, and sprinkled about she saw women wrapped in light. Channelers aiding in the preparations.

Elayne drew upon the One Power, pulling as much of it into herself as she dared, enough to be the brightest light to all of the women who could see the Power as she could. A comfort to her people and a warning to her enemies. It calmed her and softened her nerves. She took a deep breath and exhaled, with it she let go, her light dimming. It was enough for now to be a symbol of strength and comfort before the storm hit.

In the back of her mind she felt a knot of feeling and emotion. It was the place in herself that was connected to her Warder, Birgitte. A warrior of legend, pulled out of time, she would defend Elayne to her last or die trying. In this ball of feeling she could sense not only her Warders general location, but also the concern and love Birgitte had for her. Elayne knew she was somewhere in the keep, probably dealing with some problem well beneath her, as mixed in with everything was a spot of annoyance. But through all of it was an underlying devotion. A loyalty that had nothing to do with the magic that would compel her service. And, was that….yearning?

Hello lovelies!!! I would love to find a long term partner for a high fantasy, story heavy, FIERY love story between two powerful women! My example here was from the Wheel of Time series of books (NOT the tv show!!!) and features a powerful channeler (think mage) and her dutiful protector. If you’ve read the books you know that neither of these women end up together, but where is the fun in that?? They should have!

I am on PST, I have the most time to reply during weekdays. My weekends and evenings are pretty busy with family stuff, so I will reply, just not as much.

Also, I’m a mtf trans woman. I’m ok with my characters having whichever <ahem> bits you are comfortable with, but do love to include a character that has similar anatomy to myself (i.e. the princess pole 🤭).
