Struggling with the combat in AC Valhalla

I just got the game and idkkkk I'm struggling with the combat control so much 😠it's weird since I had no problems in the past AC games but I'm just having such a hard time with this one. Anyone got some tips? I might be doing something wrong I'm not sure tbh 🥲
