This is a follow-up to a post I put out a few months ago regarding the idea of writing my girlfriend a poem for our anniversary. I was very much in my head about it. Debating if it would be too intense. Too cringe. Something she would find way too overwhelming for such a short time together dating.
Many of you were very encouraging and told me to give it to her whilst a few others gave me the opposite feedback and said I should play it safe. Taking all of this I decided just to go for it. When I gave it too her and read it, she cried for a solid 10 minutes. It was a beautifully deep moment. Very intense. A moment we shared that will be hard to ever recreate.
I’m writing this because I want to encourage all you gals to never feel like you’re being too much. Of course you should read the room when doing something like that and don’t embarrass your girl. But if you feel so strongly about her, don’t be afraid to express it. Be yourself. She’ll find it beautiful.
Thank you for your support! Y’all are awesome ❤️🔥
