STORYTIME!!

Like the title says.... I went to a halloween party dressed as Nadja from what we do in the shadows. was so excited to go with my partner who was also dressed as an iconic vampire. well, i get to the party (hosted by my gay male besties) and every other person there besides my besties and my partner was SO very straight. which isn't bad, but just is definitely not an environment i'm used to. my jokes land differently with straight people, i talk a bit differently, feel less "safe" etc.

well, halfway thru the night, i decided to sneak into the kitchen to make my partner a french 75. i went to open the bubbles and it shot out evvvverywhere, some of it going into my eye, somehow😭

one of the straight guys offered me his shirt so i could dry my top. then proceeded to tell me he was a nurse, and "inspected" my eye for any damage. very odd, lol.

overall, this was a rollercoaster of a halloween. left feeling embarrassed and drunk. BUT my partner did capture this pic of me post-incident, and tbh i don't think i look that bad😅
