Oof I am going through it. I was a late bloomer coming out in my 30s. I went on some dates and nothing really stuckā¦then I met this woman and we hit it off.
I thought we were going to marry. Now sheās done.
She has a lot of stuff to work through to get healthy and it was impacting our relationship. When push came to shove she just gave up instead of trying therapy or anything for herself. I feel like Atreyu from the Neverending Story going through the swamp of sadness and being like omg you have to TRY youāre sinking!!
Anywayā¦itās over. Itās over and I want to die. I am suffocating I am drowning. She became my best friend. I really thought it was forever.
And I donāt know what to do with all the pain. Before her, my only āseriousā relationships were with men, and no surprise here - I got over it immediately. (Yeah no one was surprised when I came out)
I had no idea romantic loss felt this way. I had no idea the pain was so deep. I am vacillating wildly between logically assessing all the ways she let me down and spontaneously bawling my eyes out over the thought of life without her.
I donāt know what to doā¦so Iām reaching out into the void and hoping anyone can offer any advice?
I donāt want to crash out, yanno? And my god I could crash out so hard right now.
