Has anyone else noticed that lesbian TV shows, movies and sometimes even music is just kinda mediocre? There's definitely a quantity problem as well (at least for shows and - to a certain extent - movies that actually have relationships and drama as their main focus), but the main difficulty I experience when searching for wlw relationships in media is quality.

There have been good shows and films that I enjoyed that had good lesbian representation, either through it being a side-plot of sorts or it being the main focus. However, when I look through posts from other people trying to find good series or films that feature wlw characters or relationships, the comments are flooded with shows that are just simply not that good. They're often not horrible, but I can only watch so many unintentionally campy (or plainly mediocre) shows before it starts to get a bit tiring. Maybe I have difficult taste, but surely there's other people who have tried to watch recommended lesbian series and films that they just couldn't get through??
