Is the labrys tattoo still a common signal among lesbians?

I want to get a subtle lesbian tattoo. I'm thinking of getting a red labrys on the outside of my arm below my elbow. What I'm wondering is if the average lesbian who isn't chronically online or over the age of 60 knows what it means.
Do you think lesbians will recognize as a lesbian flag? I will probably get it either way.
