I (21f) broke things off with a girl (24f) that I had been dating for the past four weeks.
There was absolutely nothing wrong with her. She was smart, kind, fun, funny, and conventionally pretty. She loved sex with me.
But…though I TRIED (I really tried) to enjoy being romantic or intimate with her, I didn’t feel anything. I felt like I was lying to her.
Last night sucked. I made her cry, and now I feel like shit. 😔
This was the third time since December that I’ve done that to someone.
What did they all have in common, besides being wonderful people that I led on and then hurt?
They were all around my age or slightly older.
My “catalyst” was with someone older than me - much older, in fact. That ended due to many reasons I won’t get into here, but I’ve tried since then to be more “normal” and see more appropriate people with similar levels of life experience. Those kinds of relationships are supposed to be “healthier”, right?
So why don’t they ever make my bacon sizzle?
Fuck.
