AC jack fix?

Hi all. My legion y540 ac jack is busted. The pins started getting loose and finally crapped out the other day. Repair shop says the jack is on the main board and they don't sell those anymore?? Anyone ever have this issue and know if there is a fix. Too broke for a new computer... Is it possible to buy a new jack and replace it?
I'm in the NYC area in case that helps with finding a place for these kind of repairs cause me and solder have a bad history.
