My experience with Lenovo Legion Premium Care

Post Body

I originally purchased my Lenovo Legion laptop from antonline.com despite all the bad reviews and buyer beware warnings online. When I received the laptop, it appeared to be okay but eventually I discovered that the LCD had a dead pixel and backlight bleeding problem. Since I was within the 30 day return policy, I first reached out to antonline.com support. They did not want to accept any responsibility and deferred me to using Lenovo warranty for repair and replacement. If you are reading this, do not ever buy anything from antonline.com because they have terrible customer service.

I then reached out to Lenovo via their premium care line and after going through hours of troubleshooting including updating to latest BIOS, resetting windows, taking photos of the problem, they finally agreed to send a technician once replacement parts were ordered in about one week. On the day of the service, the technician came and did a horrible job adding even more problems to the LCD than I originally had. Apparently they hire contracters that work for different manufacturers (mostly fresh grads out of college with little experience). Unsatisfied with the work done by the technician, I called premium care and told them exactly what happened. They then offered me the option of sending in the laptop to their service center (overnighted a free shipping box) and I agreed. About 3 days later I received my laptop back, and the LCD issue was fixed much to my surprise. The whole process took about 1 month and quite a few phone calls. Overall I was only without my laptop for 3 days max.

So to summarize: Lenovo Legion Premium care works if you're patient enough for it. The Lenovo CS reps I spoke with in India were always professional and knowledgeable and literally available 24/7. I have to admit that I received great customer service from Lenovo. If you're planning to buy from Lenovo, I would recommend for you to only buy from the Lenovo website directly or via an authorized reseller who has a no hassle return policy like Wal-mart. And I repeat: never buy anything from antonline. As for the Legion laptop, it's a great product, and I'm going on about two months now using it. I included a personal review below in case anyone is still interested in purchasing it.
