So, in short, it's like a month and even longer that I try to get help from my favorite support agents, the Indians ones that don't even understand English in general. But I made that challenge, I got the repair on-site access. I already made a post about it, about an Indian tech support girl who don't know how a pc works, well not talk about it now. Let's talk about the best part, the actual "repair"
So I got a repair on-site (after showing my pc heating 0-100 in 10 minutes, lol), after literally like 5 time of occured accidents what didn't let the guy to come, (one of them was a broken car...). He finally arrived, the nest day after he supposed to, no calls telling that he's coming they arrived, thx God, I'm already happy with that.
During the repair (it was a black guy, not to be a racist, but I actually think he just arrived of a self made tire boat from Africa and never touched a laptop before, you will understand why I say that), I took my phone to record it, because the first thing he did, is taking a fucking screw driver to open the laptop.... hell no. So here are the errors he made during the repair, he only had to replace the cooler system:
1) Scratches from the screw driver on the entire pc. Yes, the technician from premium support warranty used a screw driver to open the laptop. A laptop worth of a car. Why not
2) Not completely cleaned the cpu thermal paste, was about to place the coolers on a half cleaned processor. Yes, I got a cpu and gpu overhearing problem, so what? Yes, do the most horrific move which causes the problem the "technician" comed for. Why not. Anyway, a 500$ cpu is not a big problem, right?
3) I waited like 15 minutes for the support agent to find my device name and find how to open it in YouTube tutorials. Yes he was looking YouTube tutorials during the repair
4) The guy didn't even knew how to close the laptop, when he finished, the laptop had to be completely closed from like 4 sides. The laptop borders were folded becose he as gone before even double checked if it was closed, just few pins are enough.
5) One of the cover pieces "locks" was broken while opening the case.
6) Scratches on the top of the laptop after the guy tries to adjust the laptop on the table to be comfortable to work with. I had to ask him to put it on my pillow to end that hell.
7) Forgot to unscrew 4 of 10 screws while opening the laptop, I had to tell him why it was not going to open (at least the way it should). Made the same error while unscrewing the cooler system. Still managed to make a "crack" somewhere while taking it off.
8) didn't used the gloves at the "thermal past changing" part. But that's OK, now guess who touched the cpu with his finger when we were speaking about the fact that he have to clean the cpu to apply thermal paste. Why is it bad? Because it's can't be dirty, you need an alcohol wipes for a reason. So imagine I'm telling him about the fact that he have to clean it, and he starts to tap on it saying it's enough (while having dried ternary paste on it)
9) As a bonus, he lost one of the srews at the end, and I help him to find it. Yes, it smells the professionalism in its pure form.
Maybe there are more, but that's the ones i remember. What can I do? Can I ask to replace all touched parts? Just, wtf is that service, I paid a premium support to get that dude ficking my laptop? The car he comed for was cheaper than the laptop, but he still managed to treat it as a laptop for 50$ from 2000s.
I know that Lenovo don't replace the laptops, they repair them. But it will be a very big repair, and using the damage I got for the most basic repair, I don't think it's gonna end well.
