Legion 9i, 4080, 14900HX

So i bought this 9i, just to see what it's all about, if it's any good. At first, i hated it. Even requested for a return and got the return label printed. I hated how far down the keyboard was. I hated the small trackpad, the lack of room to place your palms, and above all else, i (still do) absolutely hated the fact they inverted the mobo so the exhaust is on the bottom, rindering my IETS GT500 labtop cooler useless. I'll still use it on my M16 R1, but for the Legion 9i, raise the back up, but a cooling pad really is pointless. After a couple weeks of playing Bioshock, Destiny 2, PGA Tour, Fo4, and a few others, I'm loving this machine. Games run great, no stuttering, thermals are actually great, considering the machine is so thin, lightweight and portable, and cosmetically, it's just top notch. If you ever have a few K's to spare, im not sure if it's worth that much or not, but you won't regret it. I was debating whether or not to trade itvin for a Strix Scar 16 4090, but I've finally decided on keeping it. Finally. I see a lot of mixed reviews on this machine, but my take, get at least 32gb of RAM, get the 14th gen, and if you don't mind not using a cooling pad, and can get used to the keyboard being down as far as it is, I feel like it's worth it. This thing is a BEAST.

Anyways, carry on. I'm still a noob so take it as it is, but finally, after 2 months, i love this machine. I travel overseas a lot too, so portability is and always was a priority for me, and i feel like i hit the jackpot. Been neglecting the ROG Ally and Alienware, so now that i love this 9i, it's taking a back seat for a few. Carry on fellow gamers! 🤘🏻
