So guys, I bought the 9i... so far, I love it. Sorta. While playing EA Sports PGA Tour last night, i noticed it running around 85°c.... it got pretty hot. The one thing I DID NOT realize until sometime after having it, the exhaust is on the bottom, sides, and back below the hinges. This actually shits me. I have an IETS GT500 cooling pad for my Alienware m16 r1, and when it gets hot, the IETS does cool it down considerably.
Why on gods green earth they inverted the mb and put the exhaust on the bottom is beyong my comprehension. It really sucks bc my cooling pad is no longer any use to me one i sell my Alienware Even with it being risen up, this thing gets hot and there's just no way of cooling it down.
For this reason alone, do yourself a favor and buy the 7i pro for a little less. The 9i might work for some of you, but honestly, I'm considering checking to see if it can be returned. I'm not the biggest fan of cooling pads, but I play a lot with the labtop in my lap, and there's times that cooling pad comes in handy. This just isn't a labtop for playing in your lap.
There's my review, it's a great labtop, but the inverted mb just ruins it.
