I'm currently thinking of getting a Legion Pro 5 Gen 8 (16" AMD) and I was wanted to know peoples experiences with it and also if this would make a good option as a desktop replacement? My main use case for this laptop is for digital art, 3D modelling and game dev with some gaming on the side. I don't plan on really removing it from wall power much or at all but I still need the form factor of a laptop to put in my bagpack when I need to if the event arises.

I'm also curious about the thermals and noise levels, does the fan constantly ramp up when visiting websites like YouTube or playing YouTube videos at high res or watching 4K stream? My current laptop does this annoying thing where the fan will start up every time I go to a heavy website like YouTube or play videos higher than 1080p and this even with it repasted so wondering if that is something that happens often?
