Accidentally put my laptop back to sleep when I open it
Post Body

Hi,

Am I the only one who has this UX problem?

I close the lid on my laptop (Yoga C940 14"), and a couple of hours later I open the lid.
But since I don't remember if I turned off the PC or just put it to sleep, my finger often just goes quickly to the power button to "Turn on".
And half of the times I actually did "Turn Off" the PC before so it will now begin the process of booting up.
However, the other half of the times I just put it to sleep before, so now I have first prompted it to "Wake up" when opening the lid, and then half a second later I push the power button which tells it to go back to sleep.
So now I have to wait for it to first go back to sleep and then wake it back up again, which takes an extra 30 very frustrating seconds..

I know, not the end of the world, but when you are constantly a minute late to every morning meeting it gets a bit annoying after a while. :)

There is often a short delay (maybe like a second or two) with no response after just lifting the lid, which causes me to impatiently assume that the PC is OFF and that I need to power it back on.
If I got instant feedback (e.g. either the screen or the keyboard lights up) I wouldn't feel the need to push the button.

Another solution to the problem would be to disable the power button during the first few seconds when the laptop wakes up.

Anybody feel me?
Does anyone have a solution which doesn't just involve me waiting patiently? :P
