So,
As a guy who manages a large number of PCs, I have always been relatively happy with Lenovo desktops. They have been as reliable as any brand out there. However, I decided to move away from Microsoft's Surface line of laptops and move to Lenovo laptops. Well, it was out of the frying pan and into the pot. All my high-end machines are going down with the same issue that is driving my users bonkers...
The fan control on all Lenovo laptops is really really really bad. I have looked for numerous fixes but all the models x1 carbon, T16,E15 x1 extreme and, Yogas. They spin up for no reason and stay at elevated noise levels to the point that many of my users hate them. I know a lot of the problem is due to how fast intel and aMD stuff runs, but it is no excuse. I am literally, having to install third party fan software to make these machines usable. Their KB is full of excuses and fixes that do not work,
Someone out there, tell me I am a dumb dumb and there is an easily applied solution out there to fix these machines. Otherwise, I am taking my 3 million dollar budget football and will start investing in a different brand.
