[META] How long before you decide you’ve been scammed?

Post Body

I recently did a partial trade on here. I received the cash portion of my deal and sent the stuff I was selling. When I received my tracking number for the item i was being sent I eventually looked and said it was delivered in a different state than mine. On messaging the user he said his PayPal screwed up and automatically created the shipping label and he sent it without checking. We’ve been in touch and he said he was emailing and trying to call the recipient, but the last I heard from him was 5 days ago. I messaged him yesterday and today and nothing. I want to wait an appropriate amount of time before deciding it’s a scam and outing him, but I also know life happens and Reddit isn’t a priority. When do I decide this is a scam?
