It's already so rare to find asexual characters represented in media. The lack of exposure for many to both a spectrums (Asexuality & Aromanticism) cause a lot of asexuals and aromantics to wonder if they might be wrong and/or broken due to feeling as if lacking some sexual and/or romantic attraction to others that the majority of people feel makes them less human. It's often said that love is what makes us human, but it shouldn't matter what type, platonic and familial love is just as valid as romantic and/or sexual love.
The quick but clear and concise explanation given in the show is just the kind of stuff that needs to be heard to help people understand asexuality, rather than having to constantly explain asexuality and/or aromanticism, both in my case, to others nearly every time you come out to someone.
I felt the same exact way! I got emotional during that scene because it mirrored my own coming to the realization that Iโm asexual and was handled so well. Not only more Ace rep, but Ace rep thatโs well done? You love to see it.
