Deck most equivalent to classical mage class

So, in every game I always play a mage class. What deck/combo is best suited for that role here? I recently played against Viktor/Fizz combo and it was just spell on spell on spell. Couldn’t do anything. Is this a valid and strong mage deck or is there any deck that is even better/more mage like?
