I have a new job offer starting 01.11. I have been in Germany for 7 months and my old employer let go of me. My Blue Card is not tied to the old employer, as the Zusatzblatt does not mention the role or employer name. In my understanding I just need to send the new contract to the Ausländerbehörde and can start working. But I want to confirm this. I have sent the contract and informed them of the job change today. My new role has a similar title, the pay is less (80% of my previous role) but way above the Blue Card limit. Do I need to wait for the Ausländerbehörde to approve before I can start the new role? Or am I allowed to start without it?
