Hey guys, I'm at a bit of a loss at what to do here. I know this may seem a bit over the top to some people but I'm just so fed up of being ignored by these companies.
I bought a Remington beard trimmer just over a month ago now from Amazon and deliberately went for the more expensive titanium version of it because I thought it would last longer. I used it once fine, but the second time I tried to use it, it wouldn't work. I tried plugging it into the wall to charge it but it turned on immediately by itself and then the off switch wouldn't work to turn it off! I ended up leaving it running on my bed whilst I went to work so that it would run out of batteries and turn off.
I contacted Remington a couple of days after as they said there was a 2 year warranty for the product, but they haven't replied to me. There was an auto reply when I sent the claim saying that they would reply in 1 to 2 working days but it's been over a week now since I sent the message and I've heard nothing. There's no contact number on their website and I'm wondering what to do next? I know it's just a beard trimmer but I feel really annoyed about it as I deliberately spent extra thinking it would last longer, and have been completely blanked by the company since trying to claim warranty.
Is there anything I can do to escalate this? I've got video evidence of the trimmer not working, receipts, and all the unreplied emails I've sent. I'm really fed up with this and wondering if there's anything I can do to escalate this? I've heard about things like small claims from my friends but don't know anything about it. Is this something that applies in my situation?
