I ordered £60 of tools, the website implied that they prefer PayPal, created account, gave address and phone, got to checkout, clicked to pay by PayPal, but the PayPal page said something like “not available, try again later”. I used the site’s email form and asked them to sort the PayPal problem or cancel my order. That was this morning, I tried several times over the next 9 hrs, PayPal still not available, even though when I checked my PayPal account everything was ok and they have taken money for a couple of eBay orders during the day, as per normal. The website have not replied to my email. I have just clicked on cart, reduced the order to zero items, updated it and it says my shopping cart is empty.

Consequently, is it now safe to order the tools from Amazon, costing an extra £10 or should I wait until say Tuesday or later? I don’t mind paying the extra, as it wasn’t until I got to checkout that I noticed that there was no padlock on the website, ie it is not secure!
