Trouble with a customer claiming back non-refundable deposit unfairly

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I am currently dealing with a troublesome customer of a nail salon and as I am not (yet) legally trained, I was hoping to ask you guys to look over a draft letter to them, in case there is anything egregiously wrong therein. To give some background info, she is claiming that she is owed a refund of a 50% deposit on a training course which she was booked in for approx. 15 months ago, after cancelling less than 2 hours before the start time and being offered multiple other courses she could use the deposit for since. She has threatened to take the claim to court, and also stated that she will post defamatory comments until the deposit is returned.

First of all, after looking around online for a bit, I believe that the deposit is indeed non-refundable, as it was clearly advertised as so, the customer didn't give reasonable notice and were given plenty of opportunities to use said deposit on other services. Do you think my understanding is accurate?

Secondly, here is the draft letter with no personally identifiable information, to the best of my knowledge and belief: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nbNrgeYGOZqGJaaEwvbcWEkbgexe7FhD/view?usp=sharing

(I hope linking google docs is not against the sub rules)

Thanks in advance!
