Damp and Mould in Rented Property.

Chaps,

I need some advice on an ongoing severe damp and Mould problem in a flat I rent.

I live in a ground floor flat, in a building that was erected in the late 1800s.

The floor is concrete with no insulation between it and the laminate flooring. The walls are double brick with no cavity for insulation.

I reported a damp and mild mold issue about 5 months ago, I had a damp review and the letting agency have only just carried out 2 of the recommended corrections (bricked up an airing brick and injected the wall/damp course with a plastic solution).

This has not solved the issue, and with the colder weather, the property cannot maintain a temperature above 12-14c. The living room fairs better than the bedroom, as it has a new panel heater.

The bedroom had a storage heater and it barely keeps the room warm, which is causing huge amounts of mold to form on a weekly basis.

I'm tied into this property for another 6 months, but I need out. They've had 5 months to correct it fully, and it hasn't been done. I'm worried the mold will affect my health.

What rights do I have as a tenant?

I live in England, if this makes a difference.
