I've just been made redundant, today is my last day. However in their shortsightedness my employer didn't facilitate hand over of my roles and responsibilities before my final day. Part of my job is to provide software support on a system I built. They want me to come back after being made redundant and train an outsourced IT company in support. I am happy to do this but want to charge a much higher rate. How do I do this? Can I just provide them with an Indepentant Contractor agreement without having a limited company? Is it better just to ask them for the money?
