Hi all. I’ve a live claim for disability discrimination, failure to consider and make reasonable adjustments and victimisation sitting in the ET.
My employer now wishes to discuss a settlement agreement.
This is welcome news and I’ve sent over my schedule of loss for them to attempt to beat down.
I know that the law requires a lawyer to check the agreement before signing in order for it to be legal.
However, I wanted to ask about the limit to future legal action the settlement agreement is likely to have. I understand that, from the employer side, the primary purpose of a settlement agreement is to prevent any further legal claims. However, would it stop me from pursuing my old manager (in their own capacity) for personal injury, or does any indemnity for the organisation include their staff?
Many thanks
