So - I have brought £535 worth of uber cash via a gift card to use to book a flight I need in Oct.
On the uber cash website https://www.uber.com/gb/en/ride/how-it-works/uber-cash/ it clearly states uber cash can be used for anything within the app. Flights are clearly within the app - so I didn't see it to be an issue.
After loading the account with the gift cards (I did use a BNPL firm for the gift cards but im still the one responsible for said payments) I am now unable to use them for a flight. I have contacted support to be told they are only usable on uber eats and uber rides - which I don't need - I definitely don't need £535 worth of uber food.
How can I get my money back. Obviously based on the information on there own website I could use it for flights. Such as this
"From paying for anything on Uber hassle-free to earning extra perks through Partner Rewards, do it all with Uber Cash."
And
"Pay the easy way for anything on Uber"
I'm not even sure how I can escalate this above Uber customer support as clearly this is a larger issue.
Hope I can get some help/advise. Really need this flight booked ASAP to and obviously not many of us can afford to write off £535
