Suing Royal Mail for breach of contract and emotional stress

Post Body

I live in England

I spoke to my neighbours today to ask if they have received any post during the week, they both said no as I haven't had any post either hence why I asked. I have been waiting for a new bank card and a new disability travel pass to arrive, neither have came. I have been in limbo all week without these items.

I appreciate this might be a minor inconvenience compared to waiting for a letter with a court date or a important hospital appointment or something so apologises on my part if it seems like a moan, but this isn't the first time Royal Mail have let this area down with post and I am getting sick to the back teeth of getting let down by them all the time.

I have complained to Royal Mail already. Usually before any legal action the courts would want you to complain to the company directly and I have done this, and Royal Mail lied through there teeth and said everything is fine at my local sorting office.

I have various mental health issues and I relay a lot on my travel pass to get me to various appointments etc, because I don't have this I haven't been able to make them and my mental health is suffering as a result of this these a therapy appointments, so it's important to me that I go and this is where the emotional stress argument is coming from. Breach of contract is Royal Mail failing to deliver any post at all, despite them being under a USO to deliver mail 6 days a week.

Do I have a case, or is it worth not bothering?
