UPDATE: My Pride flag got ruined by a burst pipe in the flat above leaking directly into my window alcove, so had to be taken down anyway. I'm now looking for a nice Pride decoration that can sit on the wide indoor ledge of the window. I've already had a neighbour message to say she was sad to see my flag gone. Thanks for the adivce!
London
I live in one of a group of three purpose build mansion blocks (low rise apartment buildings?) there's a building management company but also a board of trustees made up of flat owners/leaseholders.
I have been in my rented flat for four years and for most of that time I've had a medium sized Pride flag hung on the inside of my bedroom window, it doesn't cover the window and it isn't hanging outside at all. Today a letter was put through everyone's doors with a reminder of building and garden rules, they've done this before but this time it included a section on windows - with a (seemingly?) new rule about not displaying flags in windows.
My Pride flag is literally the only flag displayed in a window of any of the three buildings. They haven't given a reason or rationale for this new rule, and no one has ever mentioned flags in the buildings' group chat. It seems targeted but without them expressing that it's about my flag, someone else has already commented about this new rule on the group chat and said they have only seen this (my) flag in recent months - so far no one else has said anything.
I am a queer person, and my gender and sexuality are protected under anti discrimination acts in the UK, but this is a private residence so I'm less sure on if I can rightfully disobey this new rule. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
While admittedly this occurred in Scotland, a friend had a similar issue with their property management company after receiving a very similar letter it seems to yourself.
They contested it and someone came round to have a chat. Turns out this was due them having a certain say over things that could attract possible damages to the property, which included everything from pride flags to political support window stickers. Said friend accepted this begrudgingly then two weeks later had his cars rear window caved in, only thing police reckoned was because it also had a pride sticker on it.
While it is certainly worth following up on, it might be worth checking your contract/property agreement to see if there's something similar.

Yes, but you should double check your agreement etc to see whether this is a new rule, or whether it's one they've decided to emphasise at this time (given there's an election etc).
Once that's done it strengthens your point for clarification if indeed it is entirely new. Though while it may seem to be targeting you, as long as they enforce it equally across the board, I don't think there's much that can be done.
