Can my gf force a sale of her parents property when it is left to her and her siblings?

Post Body

The conversation came up and her parents said she will be the executor of their will as in her parents words "the others are too stupid". I dont talk to her side of the family anymore but I know them well and her siblings are not very bright and would almost definitly trash the house and the eldest has said he does want to sell becuause he "wants a free house". She wants her other 3 siblings to benifit from the sale of the house and not let the 4th get a "free house" while they get nothing.

Am I correct in saying the executor can sell the house provided it is in the best interest of the estate? I know at least 2 of the siblings would agree to wanting a sale, possibly 3, 1 wont want to. What would my gf's options be legally? If she cannot force a sale is there anything that would enable her to receive rent from that sibling as he would be the only one living in the home while the others would not gain anything from being left the home.

She does not get on with the sibling who wants to keep the house so buring bridges would not be a problem so any answers should disregard the worry of falling out with that sibling.

Thank you.
