I have a criminal record but permanent name suppression so it won't show up on any MOJ background checks. However MOJ failed to enter this in their system.
I ended up getting a new job and they did a check on me and my conviction showed up and I had to resign because I was going to be put through an internal review.
Moj apologised and ended up updating the system so now my record comes clean.
Since then I've been unable to find a job, can't afford a lawyer to consult. And it's been difficult trying to find a job.
My question is what are my options? Do I have any grounds to sue moj? I assume it will be very costly and I don't have the funds for it.
What about any good layers you can recommend that are experts in this area and can give me some good advice.
Any other advice would be helpful. Thanks
