I’m an Irish citizen living in France and was just fired from my job as a chef in a restaurant. I was told the reason for being fired was being late to work twice. The first time I was late was when I was working under the table for the bakery that’s owned by the same company during the covid-19 confinement though. I’ve been told by a few people that me being fired under these circumstances is illegal and want to know what actions I can take to still receive out of work benefits/chomage given the circumstances. Thanks!
