I am a trans woman living in russia (big oof) and my partner is a trans woman living in Romania. We would like to marry but Romania doesn't legalise same-sex marriages and it's also not in the Schengen. No idea what can we do about this, but she wants to move out of Romania and, ideally, have us living together in a country where we could both live together. I had a friend telling me that she could enroll in an EU university, but apparently that's temporary residence and she can't use it to marry me. It's all very muddy, so I'm asking here for advice.
