He was honestly a sad, hollowed out and unstable shell of a man in his final years.

He showed signs of extremely erratic behaviour (dangling Baby Blanket), was constantly under the influence of prescription drugs (that he obtained illegally), refused to expose his children to the outside world, was at times a neglectful father, was spending money like crazy and was extremely paranoid when the abuse allegations began to emerge more prominently.

I’m honestly surprised CPS didn’t come to him and took the kids elsewhere. Nor was he restricted from seeing them. He was at best an incompetent father who wasn’t prepared to look after them properly.

His mental state during that time was not great either. He clearly had an undiagnosed condition that was never checked out.

He should’ve been put under conservatorship, restricted from seeing his kids and checked for his addiction and mental state.
