Hi all,

I have been looking into leatherworking for a few months and finally bought tools and supplies. I have made a few of the Corter Flap Wallets. It was really cool to finally do what I have been watching others do online. My interest is definitely stimulated.

I am curious now as I would like to learn a few things. How can I get a cleaner looking burnish, with and without dye?

On the design side, what resources do you recommend for learning how to create wallet patterns? I am aware this borders more along the lines of fashion design; however, what books I have seen regarding patterns thus far seem to be focused mainly on apparel. I want to design my own wallets but the measurements are a bit confusing. Any help here would be appreciated.

With the wallets I made, I noticed they were hella tight. I used Richard Hoffmans, Michigan, Golden Tan 3.5-4oz for this. Any tips?

Lastly, any manufacturers out there that can point me in the direction of a vendor with good wholesale deals/ pricing?

I look forward to hearing from you hide artisans!

Lines are a bit crooked, but I think time and practice will fix that.

Wish these edges would have 'fused' a lot more.
