I'm... well I've not even started yet, but I may be looking into starting leatherworking. This stems from the fact I... don't wanna spend hundreds of pounds on leather LARP gear. It's not me saying it isn't worth that, people should be paid well for their craft, but I don't have the money. But in saying that, is it any more affordable to do it myself? Where should or could I start? What tools are considered essential to begin? Or should I just leave the crafting to the professionals and fork over my cash lol
I apologise for this being somewhat meandering and aimless, any sort of advice is good advice

Very well said. You may get suckered down a rabbit hole that would cost you many times more than just buying the fanciest larp gear youโre lusting over right now lol
