So when I was 13 I purchased a Leatherman Wave. Parents thought it was a stupid purchase as it was sure to get lost or stolen. Fast forward two decades later, still my daily carry. While going through some boxes at my mothers didnât I run across the original receipt. It made me smile so I tucked it in my wallet. A few weeks later I broke a tip and seeing how it had only been 23 years it was still under warranty. So to the hardware store. Now I was just planning on asking how to send it in for repair. But when he said âWell if you had the original receiptâ I couldnât help myself. The look on his face when I unfolded and handed him that tiny piece of paper is something I hope to never forget. That kind man reached into the case and gave me a brand new one for free.
