The breast collar was found in my brother's old man's garage. It was in disrepair and had experienced some dry rot, so I cleaned it up thoroughly with Fiebing's saddle soap, burnished the flesh and edges with tokonole, hand stitched it together with 332 fil au chinois, added some new hardware, including 316 stainless steel d-rings and a swivel snap, and treated it with Chamberlain's Leather Milk Formula no.1.
I cut the straps myself from a very good "mimosa" side of 8-9 oz veg tanned, full grain cowhide leather, sourced from Tandy Leather. The buckles are from Weaver Buckle and Hide Leather.
I'm proud of my work and I know my brother's father would approve.
Let me know if yall have any questions! Happy Holidays and Happy Yule 🎄
