Might not be the best place to ask, but figured someone might have done this!
Has anyone here 3D printed hardware for projects? If so, what software did you find to be most helpful for modelling and easiest to learn? What was too heavy handed for something simpler?
For context, Iโd like to make some unique belt buckles, and probably some decorative bits for projects, and thought I could send designs to a service like Shapeways for the printing itself.

I definitely was wondering about how much 3D print would hold up to pressure/as structural pieces, even taking into account different materials. A friend has made some jewelry with metal 3D printing, which is where I got the idea, but thatโs obviously not load bearing!
