I got these boots some time ago, and after being told to use shoe polish and realize that was a mistake, I've gone into my personal quest to actually understand this.
Please, take into account that I'm not a native english speaker and that, unsurprisingly, when it comes to shoe mainteance is quite narrow, lol.
Anyway, the boots are made of "leather", and I've heard that I should use horse fat and an unnamed "skin cream" (here's one of the sources, in spanish). I've also heard that there's people who use moisturizer for the skin, but that in the long term is a bad idea, as the muisturizer ends up rotting the leather.
So, here I am. The boots are "fine" save some quartered spots near of where the foot moves, but I don't really want to keep putting shit on it. So, what should I do? Is the horse fat enough? There's something different that i shoudl be using? Thanks!
